Happy Holidays

Whew!!! It's been busy here lately ☺

My niece and nephews have been visiting daily, and we've been going for walks through the town almost everyday. So my days have been very different lately. Ahh... Blame it on the season☺

How is it going for you?

It's quite busy around town, but for the next few days, I will be slowing down, getting back on my regular posting schedule (next week), and chilling at home... I love a quiet, cozy, yummy and homespun holiday season.

What are your plans?

Happy Holidays♥♥

Love,
Summer

  1. we are in for a quite couple of days. We do not do a lot for the holidays one of our daughters and the grandchildren live a bit of a distance from us so we do not see them usually and that leaves us with one daughter and son in law near by - we get together on Xmas Eve and do finger foods and small gift exchange, watch a movie or something - sometimes on Christmas day we go see a new movie or take a walk - this year it is to be a rainy day so we will probably go see a movie and then I will roast a chicken and have a simple meal in the evening the two of us.

  2. We have been playing "tour guide" for our son who is visiting. We recently moved to a new town and there is a lot of things to see.

But, now we will settle in and take it easy! All the crazy is done and now it is time to nest into the house and celebrate the holiday.

Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a joyful 2017.

  4. The forecast for Christmas Day is 40 degrees Celsius (104 F) and it has been over 35 degrees (95 F) during this week leading up to Christmas. It normally doesn't get this hot until February so we are worried about what February may have in store.

Fortunately, I've been organised this year and have enjoyed a quiet week and plan to do the same between Christmas and New Year's Days. My Christmas day will be spent taking care of a friend's pets so they don't die of heat stroke while the friends are away and then lunch with extended family.

Like you, I prefer to have a quiet time at home, leaving shopping and holiday trips for other times of the year when it is not so hectic about town.

Thank you for visiting my blog, Lupey Loops, and saying hello during the year. May you have a beautiful Christmas and happy new year. See you in 2017. :-)

  14. We went away on holidays before Christmas and have been enjoying simple, relaxed days back at home since we returned. Those days are ordinary days, a little work in the garden before it gets too hot, a little baking before it gets to hot and lots of reading and board games when it is too hot! I hope you had a lovely Christmas, Summer and that 2017, as it dawns, brings you much happiness. Meg:)

  18. Summer, I love the vintage image! My Christmas was spent with several friends. 7 of us in all, at one of the couple's homes. I had a great time! It was quiet but lovely, as I do enjoy quiet. Thinking of you and wanting to wish you a very Happy New Year filled with love, joy, peace and prosperity. Take good care of yourself. :)
