Breakable

There are so many quotes and opinions about being unbreakable.

But... I AM BREAKABLE☺

Humans are made with material that is breakable and it is also capable of being mended. Life is too short, valuable and unpredicatable to waste it on worrying about being breakable or vulnerable. Otherwise, we wouldn't venture into so many wonderful experiences. Of course too, we maybe wouldn't have so many bad experiences. But life goes on... Right?

I just keep remembering that as long as I have life, I can recover from almost anything.

I embrace being breakable, and I appreciate being mendable♥

It's okay to be able to be broken. It's a human characteristic, and humans are mendable too♥

Thoughts?

Love,
Summer

  2. Your positive attitude is very inspiring.
We humans are like trees, in younger years we need protection just like plants but as we grow older we support others.

  6. Thank you for the very inspiring post, Summer! You write, correctly, that we can recover from ALMOST anything.
I don't think we can overcome ANY situation or problem in life nor do I think that everything can be mended. Some people have more resources than others and in many cases our experiences make our life more rich, but there are happenings that are just too bad... and we will do what little we can to help the broken.

  14. Your photographs are fabulous. I know there are places where I have been broken, but I like to think, as Hemingway said, I am stronger at the broken places. Take good care!

  15. Beautiful photo! I think "unbroken" to me speaks of the very idea that we should embrace that vulnerability- but you're right, we don't use the term "breakable," very often at all. Thanks for the insight!

  20. The strength comes from the learning as we mend...moving forward...always...and never allowing anyone to assert power of you...you are the most strong in your fragility.

  24. Hopefully, we BEND and do NOT break. We are flexible, unlike a rock wall. We bend, we grow, we move forward.

  26. A very nice post, Summer. I do think we can be bruised and shattered, and I am a true example of that. Have been through some amazingly difficult times before, but managed to get through them with the grace of God.

  31. Growth does require a willingness to accept risk. I hope any breaks you experience are quickly mended and make you stronger.

  32. That is so true! You're right, we should stop thinking that being "unbreakable" is a good thing. We need to recognize that at times everyone hurts, but it's moving forward that really matters.

  33. Gorgeous pictures. Great post also. Reminds me of our lives recently. My daughter has been divorced and struggling for several years to raise her sons. They were notified that her ex, the boys father died suddenly. She is surprised that she is mourning and grieving, because she had built that wall up of being angry. The wall is broken now and all of that anger and hurt is pouring out.
